Barefoot® Bareback Pad 'Ride-On-Pad'

The Barefoot® Bareback Pad 'Ride-on-Pad' is the ideal choice for riders who want to experience the freedom of bareback riding, while ensuring their horse’s comfort. 

What sets this pad apart is its V-girthing system, which ensures even pressure distribution across the entire pad, rather than concentrating it on just one or two spinous processes. This helps avoid any discomfort or pain for your horse, unlike many traditional bareback pads. The underside is made from Sympanova material for slip-resistance, offering superior stability, while the upper side is crafted from high-quality microfibre for enhanced grip for the rider.

We've deliberately omitted stirrup attachments, as standing in stirrups can create pressure points. Also, the girthing is stabilised with genuine sheep wool patches (included), which not only provide extra protection but also enhance your horse's comfort around the sides.

For well-muscled horses and average-sized riders, this bareback pad provides excellent comfort and stability. However, if you require extra spinal clearance, prefer adjustable shimming, or simply want the highest level of comfort, we recommend choosing the  Physio versions of our Barefoot® Bareback Pad Ride-on-Pads.

Available in black or brown, the pad comes with D-rings to attach saddle bags, making it a perfect choice for adult riders.
