The Barefoot® Bitless Bit (BBB) can be attached to the bridle in a similar way to a traditional bit or hackamore. Its flat design lies comfortably against the horse's head and avoids any pinching while in use. The nose and chin straps are connected to outward-facing metal eyelets, eliminating pressure on the horse's head and allowing for precise aids. Due to its edgeless design, the BBB is extremely comfortable for the horse. Signals and aids are communicated primarily through the nose, and the reins can be attached in a variety of ways for different effects. The BBB is suitable for horses with dental problems, sensitive mouths, or those who lean on the bit, as well as for riders looking for gentle communication without metal in the horse's mouth. A nose and chin strap are needed for proper use, and the BBB is patented by design. Made of stainless steel, it is sold in pairs and, like any leverage device, it should only be used by skilled and gentle riders - just like a bit.
